The Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation (SIDF) believes that investment in education reaps benefits untold for any country. A country’s human, economic and sustainable development is hinged upon its populace having a sound education in technical, vocational and academic fields.

To that end, the SIDF has partnered with the Development Bank of St. Kitts and Nevis (DBSKN) and approved EC$5,000,000 to a Student Assistance Fund to assist local students who are having difficulty getting a loan approved, but who have the necessary qualifications, and a desire of pursuing and obtaining tertiary education.

The Student Assistance Fund gives students an opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills and experience from academic tertiary institutions that would enable them to contribute to the transformation of the Federation’s economy for the betterment of all.

The SIDF believes that access to a college education should be a right for all aspiring nationals.
