The Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation (SIDF) recognizes the nexus between cultural development and socio-economic advancement. To that end, the SIDF aided the construction and completion of the newly opened Nevis Performing Arts Centre (NEPAC) at Pinney’s Estate by providing an EC$3,000,000.00 loan to the Nevis Island Assembly (NIA).

The $EC14, 500,000 performing arts facility was officially opened on April 28, 2012, and boasts a 400-seat theatre, two dressing rooms, storage rooms, media room/lighting and audio room, a parking area for over 100 vehicles, a large courtyard, a canteen, and bathroom facilities.

The growth and sustainability of the new tourism industry demands that the Federation finds innovate ways to provide entertainment to visitors to its shores. By development the performing arts in St. Kitts and Nevis, creative ways can open up to better package our history and culture through dance, song and drama as an important part of our tourist product.
